Family Relationships
Family bonds are the most stable relationships in Paralives. They're set during character creation in Paramaker or formed through gameplay events like birth and adoption. Parent/Child is asymmetrical — setting one side automatically assigns the other. Family labels block romantic interactions between related Parafolk.

Frequently asked questions
How do family relationships work in Paralives?
Family labels (Parent, Child, Sibling, Household Member) are permanent bonds. Parent and Child are asymmetrical pairs — assigning Parent to one Parafolk automatically makes the other a Child. Siblings are symmetrical. All household members automatically get the Household Member label.
Can family members become romantic in Paralives?
No. Parent, Child, and Sibling labels block romantic relationship formation. This is enforced by the game's relationship system — romantic Together Cards won't appear between family members.
