The in-game calendar
4 seasons, 4 weeks each
Paralives runs on a 4-season calendar: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter. Each season is 4 weeks (28 days), making a full year 112 days. The game begins on Day 12 of Summer, Year 1.
Time flow
0.5 game-min per real second
At normal speed, 0.5 in-game minutes pass per real second. Three speed settings are available: x1 (1x), x2 (5x), x3 (15x). When all Parafolk are asleep or at work, the fastest speed gets an extra 3x boost automatically.

Scheduled events
These events fire automatically on a recurring schedule - no player action required.
Garbage Day
A daily automatic event. The garbage truck visits every day at midnight to collect trash from the lot.
Festival
A weekly community gathering held every Saturday evening. Parafolk can socialize and enjoy the festivities.
Hire-able services
Services
Order these services via phone or computer. An NPC worker arrives and stays for the listed duration. Each service has a limited capacity - only one visit at a time unless noted otherwise.
Cleaning Service
Hire a professional cleaner to tidy up your home. Order via phone or computer.

Repair Service
Call a repair technician to fix broken objects around the house. Order via phone or computer.
“Hi, repair service here! If anything is broken, I'll fix it!”
Childcare Service
Hire a childcare worker to look after children while adults are away. Order via phone or computer.
“Hi, it's your friendly neighborhood childcare worker! I'm here to take care of the children!”
Personal Assistant Service
Hire a personal assistant who can clean, repair, and take care of children. Order via phone or computer.
“Hi, personal assistant here! You've got tasks, I've got results!”
Pizza Delivery
Order pizza from La Tavola di Nonna, the local Italian restaurant. Delivered to your door.

Burglar Visit
An uninvited visitor who targets your valuables. Protect your home or call for help.
