Storytellers FAQ

Which storyteller should I pick in Paralives?
For your first playthrough, Maxence (the default) is recommended - balanced difficulty with a 20% twin chance and 10% triplet chance, $30,000 starting funds, and automatic eating/toilet at work. Choose Stella for a relaxed experience ($35,000 starting funds, no negative story events) or Ricardo Castello III for a challenge (no auto-eat/toilet at work, 5% twin/1% triplet chance).
What is the difference between the 3 Paralives storytellers?
The three storytellers control difficulty: Maxence is balanced (20% twins, 10% triplets, $30K start, auto-needs at work), Ricardo is hard (5% twins, 1% triplets, $30K start, no auto-needs at work, higher passive pregnancy chance), and Stella is easy (5% twins, 1% triplets, $35K start, auto-needs at work, banned negative story card packs). Pregnancy and labor durations are identical across all three.
Can you change your storyteller in Paralives?
Yes - you can change your storyteller at any time through the pause menu. You can also create a custom storyteller by selecting 'Customize Storyteller' from any of the three presets, letting you adjust parameters like life stage duration, pregnancy odds, starting funds, and whether Paras automatically eat and use the toilet at work.
What are the twin and triplet chances for each Paralives storyteller?
Maxence has the highest multiple-birth rates: 20% chance of twins and 10% chance of triplets. Both Ricardo and Stella have lower rates: 5% twins and 1% triplets. All three storytellers share a 50% chance of pregnancy when actively attempting. Ricardo additionally has a 0.2% passive pregnancy chance that the other storytellers lack.
