The Vale Household

Rowan “Row” Vale lives quietly at Blackthorn Cottage, a moody countryside retreat tucked behind winding stone paths and overgrown gardens. A private, creative soul, Row spends most of his days sketching, reading, cooking simple meals, and pretending he isn’t avoiding the outside world. He moved to the cottage looking for peace, but the house still feels like it’s waiting for something... or someone. There are signs of a cat everywhere: a bowl by the kitchen, a blanket near the window, scratches on the furniture, and the lingering feeling that Row is not entirely alone. For now, the cat is missing. Maybe it wandered too far into the garden. Maybe it still comes back at night. Or maybe Blackthorn Cottage is simply the kind of place where things disappear for a while… and find their way home when they’re ready.
