Vivian is a single mother who lost her husband while her son Devon was in high school. Struggling with the lost of his father Devon a star football player started acting out and struggling in school. He had a one nightstand with a girl and as a result she gave birth to Nina. Nina's mother didn't feel ready to be the parent Nina needed and left Nina with Vivan and Devon. Devon has grown into being a dedicated father and Vivian provides him with any support that he needs while helping to raise Nina into a wonderful young lady. Vivian and Nina don't always get along but they love each other very much.
