The Fontaine Household

Izumi Fontaine is a first generation immigrant, born to a mother who lived in Japan and a French man who fell in love with her mother upon visiting to Japan. The couple soon immigrated together, and Izumi was been raised in Melino until her family moved again. She is currently striking out on her own for the first time, coming back to Melino. She had always planned to move to Melino to escape the stifling family dynamics after the birth of her daughter while Izumi was still a teen, but unfortunately lost both her parent's lives and lost her left leg. Only her and her little brother Jasper survived, though he lost partial hearing, and she is now his sole guardian and adoptive parent. An aspiring Nurse, and closed off to the concept of love, can this young mother have it all? Can young Jasper break past his angsty/rebellious phase long enough to make meaningful relationships in this new town? Will he let himself channel his pain into art, or will he push himself away from everyone including his new "Mother" (He doesn't mind letting Ellie call him "big brother" now, she's too young to get it, but he really hates the reminder that his sister is now legally his mom.)
