The Ghastly Household

Arthur and Memoira are hopelessly in love. They spend their days communing with the dead, inventing beastly horrors, and raising their children Corona and Conan to hiss at the sun and empathize with the monsters in their storybooks. They are, however, very concerned for their niece Sandy, who has a horrible case of being delightful. Memoira Ghastly loves nothing more than crying against a bathtub in the moonlight. How beautiful is it to feel sorrow? Memoira can only hope her children will be as sad as her one day. She’s very worried for her niece, though, who simply won’t stop smiling! Arthur Ghastly has only one priority: his beautiful wife. Arthur would destroy the sun and tether the moon to make her happy, and he's actively working on it. He has built her the most haunted home possible to raise their children in and live the life of their nightmares. When Sandy moved in with her Aunt Memoira, she understood life with the Ghastlys would be different than she was used to. Sandy knows her extended family are good people, but a teen can't help but worry what family trips through train tunnels and secret passages will do to her social status. Corona Ghastly prefers to scare her peers rather than play with them. "Why build a sandcastle when I can vandalize a vending machine?" Corona asks her peers at recess. Her teacher is concerned for her development, but her parents couldn't be prouder. Conan Ghastly always admired his little sister. She just understands the world and its horrors in a way he never could. Conan would gladly follow her around Melino, wreaking havoc wherever she stepped. He only hopes he can be as menacing as her one day.
