What this mod adds
Inspired by how I'm used to playing with this type of lifespan mod in similar games, though customized to my preference. As much as I truly, truly wanted to simply follow the 3 days = 9 months formula for pregnancies, it turns out the default trimester duration for paras is, in fact, 21 hours. I could just modify that value for storyteller settings as well, but I'm not too fond of the idea of using a mod to mess with something that's already meant for players to customize.
At its core, this mod still follows the same principle of 4 days = 1 year, but the actual age values had to be adjusted to account for how it is lower in practice, making every 3 days and a half count as a year. My spreadsheet assures me these values are correct. Overall life expectancy is improved to 85 because this world is too pretty and paras should have time to enjoy it.
The custom age durations are as follows on the normal lifespan setting (before multipliers):
• Baby (starts at age 0), remains in this life stage for 84 hours (3 days and 12 hours).
• Toddler (starts at age 1), remains in this life stage for 252 hours (10 days and 12 hours).
• Child (starts at age 4), remains in this life stage for 420 hours (17 days and 12 hours).
• Preteen (starts at age 9), remains in this life stage for 336 hours (14 days).
• Teen (starts at age 13), remains in this life stage for 504 hours (21 days).
• Young Adult (starts at age 19), remains in this life stage for 504 hours (21 days).
• Adult (starts at age 25), remains in this life stage for 3360 hours (140 days).
• Elder (starts at age 65), remains in this life stage for 1680 hours (70 days).
If you would like the Young Adult stage to last longer, I have also made a version where that is the case, with the Adult stage being shortened to make it longer. You can see it here.
I've noticed, and be forewarned, during my testing that repeatedly switching between lifespan mods on the same save file sometimes messed up the aging progress of paras, or made the game treat them as though they have aged up when they have not. I was quite literally changing things around when this happened, so this might not happen to everyone, but I'd still advise you to be careful if you're frequently changing lifespan mods for a preexisting save file.
