The Indonesian Roommates

The typical Indonesian university roommates. Karina, Natasha, Rio, and Kevin share a cramped but affordable four-person kost near the campus in Jakarta. Their biggest daily negotiation is who gets to use the single bathroom first before morning rush hour, and how to split the skyrocketing electricity bill for their constant air conditioning use. Rio and Kevin are constantly late for their part-time design gigs because of the unpredictable Jakarta traffic, which fuels their debate over whether to collectively buy a used motorcycle or stick to relying on ojek (motorcycle taxi) apps. Meanwhile, Karina and Natasha are secretly trying to start a small online business selling hampers (gift baskets) to cover the security deposit for next year's rent, all while desperately trying to catch up on their mandatory Pancasila studies.
