FIXED (hopefully) - if something still doesn't work please let me know This mod adds simple periods, contraceptives and variable pregnacy chance. ABOUT PERIODS Periods currenlty take 8 days, I might try to make more length presets in the future, but this system is not very flexible. First day is period, with ovulation occuring on day 5. To start menstruating, there are 2 options: a) you use start menstruating interaction on a Para that can get pregnant b) a Para that can get pregnant ages up to a teen - from now on there will be 20% every day to get period, if you don't want to wait, use option a. Waiting for it to occur naturally will unlock special together card and mood for 12 hours. A Para on period will be uncomfortable and will have together card available to complain about period. ABOUT VARIABLE PREGNANCY CHANCE Now the interactions "get intimate" and "try for baby" have been fused into one. Fertility level changes based on cycle day. You cannot get pregnant if not menstruating at all. Maximum fertility (around 35%) is achieved on ovulation, day 5. From day 1 to day 5 fertility rises, from day 5 to day 8 it drops. Randomness is hard to test, so if you have any issues, please let me know. ABOUT CONTRACEPTIVES For now, there is available a simple interaction "take contraceptives" on a Para. They will last for 5 hours. Both Paras should be protected if at least one of them took contraceptives - the other gets added the "on contraceptives" status for the duration of the "get intimate" for that reason. There is a small (1%) chance for contraceptives to fail, that is also influenced by bad mood. POSSIBLE QUESTIONS Now the mod operates on daily basis to overcome broken triggers on status end - do not be surprised if the period does not take 24 hours, especially when triggered later in the day - the days will progress around 00:00 - 01:00 no matter the timer. You may see what cycle day your Para is on by using cheat "showstatuseffects" do not be surprised to sometimes see "TempDay" - it is there for purely technical reasons. Why there is print to console on aging up to teen? Without it waiting for first period does not work. Do not ask me why, it just doesn't. What if my teen did not get first period and many days have already passed? a) Randomness can be random b) Check if they have status effect DidNotHaveFirstPeriod - if they don't, something might have glitched out (see point about printing to console, aging up triggers can behave WEIRD). If that is the case, start period manualy, If not, the triggers are happening, but if you have enough waiting, also start manually.
