Stonecrest Abbey

created by @officialgenovia First built as the main town chapel, a fire partially destroyed the interior spaces of the church some hundred years ago. Much of the surrounding stonework was torn down to assist the construction efforts of the newly commissioned cathedral across town. The stony husk was then converted into the living and working spaces for an order of nuns, and named Stonecrest Abbey. After many decades, the shrinking nunnery was absorbed by the town cathedral, leaving the abbey vacant for years. Now, an ambitious real estate developer has converted the property in a spacious private residence. All interior finishes have been updated with modern amenities, while nods to the abbey's storied past remain intact throughout.
