What this mod adds

Starter lot for a rags to riches challenge with a little realism. “Phoenix left home to make it as an artist in the big city. while trying to fond a dry ally to sleep in she happened upon an old employee rest area tucked in a lot behind a bus shelter. After looking around she found an old easel tucked behind the dumpsters, an old couch and some Graffiti that says CREATE . What more could she ask for? it is a sign! looking around more, she has become sure that she will have everything she needs to get her life on the go. “ The Set Up -Choose a few houses at different price ranges, the more you choose the longer your game will be. -You can pre-build the houses yourself, install them from the workshop or choose in game ones. They can be furnished or unfurnished. Doesn’t matter. The important things: [olist] • They have to already exist and be placed in the world. • Each house has 1 more room than the last ( eg: bachelor apartment, 1 bedroom house, 2 bedroom house, 3 bedroom house- hopefully you get it….) • Each house should be at least doubled in cost or more of the last place. [/olist] THE RULES: Just keep selling your old house to move to the new one with the goal of reaching the final house on your list. [olist] • Rule # 1 -Start on this lot – YOU ARE HOMELESS! you have no money, no friends, and you absolutely don't want anyone to know you are squatting at a bus shelter. No renovating, adding furniture/items, making any changes, you are surviving, but probably not thriving. this is your home until you can reach conditions to move to rule #2. • Rule #2 - You wanna find love? You wanna find a job? Save up for a bachelor apartment! Regardless how charming or skillful you make your little dumpster wizard, no one wants to get mixed up with the crazy lady who lives at the bus shelter. you cannot get a 9-5, or start a realationship until you are at least in a bachelor apratment. • Rule # 3 - Save up to buy house # 1 "If you lived here, you would be home by now" you can decorate, buy furniture, paint, but no renovations to make the place bigger. when your family grows you will have to stay here until you can afford the next biggest house, so plan you life carefully. • Rule # 4 - Rinse and repeat " I have no money and 3 kids...why can't I have 3 money and no kids?" Every time you have more kids / need more space for hobbies and skills, you have to buy the next biggest house, you cannot remodel any house to have more space. (Example: When you get married, you have to buy a 1 bedroom house or try to make due with your new husband in a bachelor pad. 3 kids in a 1 bedroom? figure it out! Doesn’t matter how much space you need…if you cant afford the next level house you have to stay where you are and make due until you can. [/olist] Some difficulty modifiers Go with one, some, none or all of these modifiers /ideas to make your game harder [olist] • Throw it On the Ground "i'm not a part of your system...man" • No 9-5 jobs allowed whole game • Only money you can make is from what you make/ collect. • All of your lots have to be "off the grid" (use your imagination until its made into reality by the devs...i have faith - no computers, no deliveries - you live analog style- go to the store to buy furniture and decor, go to events to meet up with friends you do thigs the old way) all you gameplay choices should be played as someone who hates the idea of the 9-5, nuclear family, 2.5 kids ,white picket fence, minivan in the driveway- suburban dream • Ain't Nobody Got Time For that! "You are homeless, you don't have time for hobbies." • no skill building activities unless they are directly contributing to something you are doing to keep yourself alive ( eg : if you paint its beacuse you sell them, if you cooking skill goes up its because you ate) • no social activities or events until you are at least in a bachelor apartment' • no building bundles or collecting for progression until you are at least in a bachelor apartment. basically everything you make/do/collect needs to have a direct purpose to your survival until you are in your first apartment. • Room for One More? Always have 1 more person than you space can handle ( eg: spouse and baby in bachelor pad, have two kids in the 1 bedroom house, etc) • IN THIS ECONOMY? no one ever moves out. ( definitly get a mod that allows you to have more paras per household) plan your upper priced houses to have mother inlaw suites, basement apartments or it could be timy houses. a compund...to possibilites are endless i will also be building these in the future) [/olist]
